Cuba is the largest of the islands in the Caribbean known for its stunning beaches and coral reefs, but it is also one of the most diverse. It has a fascinating, colourful history that visitors can experience through its vibrant culture, music and arts. Cuba offers bustling cities such as the capital Havana, full of vintage cars and laced with cobbled streets. There are also beautiful landscapes waiting to be explored in Las Terrazas and Vinales, while a visit to Trinidad will make you feel like you have stepped back in time.

When To Go

Cuba boasts a warm tropical climate, with two distinct seasons.

The dry season in Cuba runs during the winter from November through to April, a very popular time for visitors with less rainfall and humidity. Temperatures during this time average around 26°C, although during January and February it is not uncommon for the temperature to be lower than 20°C.

Cuba's rainy season spans from May to October. During this time it is considerably warmer and more humid, with heavy rain showers and spectacular thunderstorms. However, it doesn't rain all day long and there is still a great deal of sunshine for visitors to enjoy between showers.

What To See

There are lots of things to do during a visit to Cuba. Cuba provides a endless mixture of imposing communist plazas and statues, fascinating Spanish architecture and lush gardens and rainforest, not to mention the pristine white sandy beaches and the wonderful coral reefs that offer phenomenal scuba diving.

Visitors looking to sun themselves on a glorious beach should venture to Varadero, where more than 20km of unbroken beachfront offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the amazing weather in beautiful surroundings. Visitors can enjoy rock climbing in Vinales, while Salsa dancing is also very popular.

Cuba's unique history is portrayed in its countless cultural attractions, with Trinidad in particular offering an unrivalled insight into Cuban life as long as 500 years ago. Then there is the capital Havana, full of vintage cars and nostalgic political exhortations.
