Tour in brief:

• Day 1: UK - Havana Arrival at Havana s International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight accommodation at Hotel Plaza or similar in Old Havana on BB basis.

• Day 2: Havana Morning sightseeing of Old Havana including followed by lunch at typical Cuban restaurant and some free time in the afternoon to walk around and explore Old Town. Optional trip to Tropicana show in the evening. Overnight accommodation at Hotel Plaza or similar in Old Havana on BB basis.

• Day 3: Pinar del Río Morning departure to the province of Pinar del Río. Visit a tobacco factory there, then proceed to Viñales where you can admire the impressive sights of this charming town; its surrounding tobacco plantations and the strange hill-peaks (mogotes) typical for this region. Here you will have lunch, too. In the late afternoon we will arrive at the Hotel Rancho San Vicente or similar for overnight accommodation on BB basis.

• Day 4: Viñales Today we travel to a small fishing village, Puerto Esperanza, located far away from any touristic route. Enjoy the silence during a walk through the village. You will visit a community that formed during the Revolution. Visit of tobacco farm. Lunch will be served in Zao, a religious centre of the village. Overnight at Rancho San Vicente or similar on BB basis.

• Day 5: Viñales - Cienfuegos Morning departure for Cienfuegos. With its French flair Cienfuegos is the most beautiful and lively town on the island. After a tour through the town we can enjoy lunch at Palacio de Valle. The restored colonial centre offers a many architectural sights. Overnight accommodation at Jagua Hotel on BB basis.

• Day 6: Cienfuegos - Trinidad On the way to Trinidad we will stop to visit the botanic garden of Cienfuegos. Rest of the day free at leisure to explore Trinidad. Lunch excluded. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Las Cuevas.

• Day 7: Trinidad Morning city tour through the Colonial town of Trinidad. The afternoon is free for you to discover the town on your own, or go on an excursion. Visit Casa de la Trova. Dinner and accommodation is at the Hotel Las Cuevas.

• Day 8: Trinidad-Camagüey Your journey continues to Camagüey, a very cultural, active city that is also called legendary due to its traditions, patriotism and its classical style. City tour with bike taxi. The evening is free at your disposal. Overnight at the Gran Hotel Camagüey.

• Day 9: Camagüey-Holguín The city of Holguín has one of the most beautiful places in Cuba. You should visit the Plaza Calixto García characterized by pink and green marble, and the statue of General Calixto Iñiguez García. Surrounding the square are many interesting spots such as the Museo Provincial de Historia, the Casa de la Trova as well as the Centro Provincial de Artes Plásticas. After a combined tour through the city the afternoon is at your disposal and planning. Overnight at Villa el Bosque or Hotel Pernik on BB basis.

• Day 10: Holguín-Santiago de Cuba This city is probably the most African in cultural sense. It is a passionate, lively and buzzing city in which people like to party and dance. Various museums, impressive buildings and a cemetery belong to the main tourist sights. The monument of Antonio Maceo on the Plaza de la Revolucíon is a must-see in Santiago de Cuba. Visit Casa de la Trova in the evening. Overnight at Hotel Villa Gaviota Santiago on BB basis.

• Day 11: Santiago de Cuba Free day at your disposal. Accommodation at the Hotel Villa Gaviota Santiago.

• Day 12: Santiago de Cuba - Havana We suggest you go strolling around the city of Santiago, and discover its hidden treasures. In the afternoon, a transfer will take you to the airport of Santiago de Cuba from which you fly back to Havana. On arrival at Havana s airport, transfer to Plaza Hotel in Old Havana or similar for your overnight accommodation on BB basis.

• Day 13: Havana Free day at leisure. For your last night, our colleagues organized a farewell party in the Casa del Tango. There you can enjoy a self organized dancing show. Overnight accommodation at Plaza Hotel or similar on BB basis.

• Day 14: Adiós Cuba! It is time to say goodbye. A transfer will take you to the airport in Havana on time for your flight back home.

  Air France flies out 6 times a week from most of UK airports to Havana via Paris.

  Air Europa and Iberia Airlines also fly via Madrid daily.

  Cubana Airlines flies direct from London Gatwick to Holguin and stops over for one hour before terminating at Havana International Airport. The return is an overnight flight direct from Havana, on Tuesday evening, landing at Gatwick on Wednesday morning.
